The Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA) Touring
Program, launched in 2024 with three regional councils,
continues its meaningful journey in 2026, partnering with five
councils — Benalla Rural City Council, Temora Shire Council,
City of Burnside, City of Victor Harbor and Scenic Rim Regional Council —to bring Korean cinema to communities across Australia. We extend our heartfelt thanks to these council partners for joining our mission to share the warmth and vibrancy of Korean storytelling nationwide.
From September to October, the Touring Program will offer
free screenings of four carefully selected films from KOFFIA’s
2026 Sydney lineup of 10. Curated to showcase the rich
diversity of Korean cinema, this year’s touring lineup features
deeply moving dramas, high-octane action, and nostalgic tales
of love.
This initiative invites regional audiences to connect with
Korean culture through accessible, joyful films, while laying the foundation for deeper collaborations in Korean cultural content beyond the screen. Join us for an unforgettable cinematic experience that bridges communities and celebrates storytelling!

On a spring day filled with falling cherry blossoms, Chun-hee (KIM Hye-ok) moves into an old apartment near a hospital. When moving her grand piano causes trouble, Min-jun (Justin H. MIN), a conductor living in the same building, offers to store it for her.
Min-jun, an adoptee from Germany searching for his birth mother, teaches Chun-hee piano and supports orphaned Seong-chan (PARK Dae-ho), who dreams of becoming a pianist.
Chun-hee had planned to end her life with her husband on the same day through assisted suicide, but due to an unexpected accident, he dies first.
